Take it from the Ironwoman

Ep. 266: Tom Claire - Marathon Reflections

Episode Summary

Tom Claire has a long career in American publishing, working principally as a copy chief and production editor in magazines and books, and has taught at NYU’s School of Professional Studies for ten years. His involvement in distance running came about as a means of meeting and countering a critical midlife moment. Through running he got back into shape and aligned his personal with his physical goals. Running marathons and half marathons is a result, not an end. Tom has run a baker’s dozen marathons and countless half marathons in various countries and has the legs and the medallions to show for it. Tom is slated to run the New York City Half on March 20 and the Redding (Conn.) Half on May 1.
