Prudence is a professional social worker, transformative leader, and advocate for children, youth, and women. Her interests include writing, reading, volunteering, crocheting, and making crochet projects. Passions and Initiatives: Prudence is passionate about humanity, especially children, young people, and women. She started an initiative called "I Am Great and Capable," which involves volunteering and working with orphans, children, and women. Helping Teen Girls: Prudence focuses on helping teenage girls, particularly those who are teen mothers or out of school. She teaches them crochet skills to empower them and improve their self-esteem and livelihood. Her crochet training began with five girls in 2020 and has expanded since then. Program Operation: Girls come to Prudence to learn crochet, which is taught for free. Some girls who have learned the skill now teach others. Prudence provides creative guidance and resources for their crochet projects. Self-Care: Prudence practices self-care by meditating, writing, and recording her thoughts to clear her mind. She has a "mailbox" by her bedside to jot down ideas that come to her at night.
Prudence Uyungrwoth is a professional social worker, transformative leader and advocate for children, youths and women, who has extended a record of exceptional service to orphans and vulnerable children in her community.
Through the blend of art, crafts, nature and unwavering compassion, she has ignited the “I am Great And Capable’’ movement in Uganda, an initiative with a special focus of training teenage mothers, out-of-school girls and young underprivileged women how to use art and craft especially crochet, to improve their livelihood.
The desire to see a vibrant generation of young people champion change is what drives her to impart skills in the less privileged groups.
Her interests include; writing, reading, volunteering, crocheting and building meaningful relationships.
