Melissa SP Fisher is a person who is curious about people and wants to understand the way they see the world. She has lived in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, London and now on Kaua‘i, and on a sailboat with time spent in cities and towns from Washington state to Panama. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration that provide her a solid base to find creative solutions. Growing up in a family that was constantly turning off lights and not letting the water run seems like a perfect beginning for someone who has spent the last 15 years working in various conservation roles. Melissa is currently the Donor Communications and Engagement Specialist for The Nature Conservancy, Hawaiʿi and Palmyra, helping to tell the stories about the projects and people, and volunteers her time with The Carbon Almanac, helping readers to connect actions and solutions Connecting the Carbon Dots.
