From a very early age, Ilana loved the outdoors and nature. Ilana spent nine of her formative years in the Congo, Africa, where she learned to bike, run, swim, trek through the jungle and visit remote regions. As a teenager in Belgium, she was send to track and field and swimming camps coached by Olympic trainers. She has been a member of the Mercury Masters Club since 2006 and New York Road Runners since 2000. In her spare time she runs along the Hudson River. In 1998 Ilana participated in the Discovery Channel Eco-Challenge Morocco, with team Urban Edge, in 2002 in Eco-Challenge Fiji, with team Eco Subaru. She runs races of various distances all year and finished seven New York City Marathon races. She will be a participant in the 50th NYC Marathon this fall. She is the owner of ILANA LOBET FRAMING STUDIO on the New York's Upper West Side.
